Chocochip Cookies

Was it Chips Ahoy or the Chunky Chocolate cookie from Dunkin Donuts or was it warm Double Chocolate cookie from Subway... somehow I can't remember when I fell in love with Chocolate Chip Cookies... Anyways its hard not to fall for anything that says "Chocolate"!
So here's I have put together simple eggless chocolate chip cookie recipe. Now, how much of a chocolate lover are you? You can increase the amount of chocochips, replace them with Cadbury's Gems or M&Ms! It's your choice. Just feel free to play around, experiment a little and let me know how it goes!

Ingredients

  •  cup Butter, soft at room temperature
  • ½  cup CastorSugar
  • 1  cup Maida
  • 1 Tablespoon plain Yogurt
  •  ¼ teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Pinch of Salt
  • ¼ cup Chocochip

Method:

  • Cream together butter and sugar for 1-2 minutes till you have a smooth, creamy mixture.
  • Add the yogurt, vanilla and mix well.
  • Sift in the dry ingredients - flour, baking soda, salt.
  • Mix together till the dry combines with the wet mixture and you have a soft dough. Gently fold in choco chips. Do not over mix or you will end up with a tough textured cookie.
  • Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 180 C. Grease and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Take the dough from the fridge and roll and shape it or roll into balls and flatten them.
  • Place the cookie dough balls on the prepared baking sheet 1 inch apart. Bake at 180 C for 20 minutes or till you get the desired color.
